  • THE INITIAL INPUT GIVEN BY BEDINI TO THE STUDENTS WAS TO DEVELOP A NEW WAY OF “PREPARING” FOOD WITH NO PACKAGING OR DISHES, WHILE SAFEGUARDING THE FRESHNESS OF THE FOOD, ITS LOOK, SMELL AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONALISING THE MEALS.

  • THE FULLY AUTOMATED KITCHEN TAKES THE INGREDIENTS FROM THE FRIDGE, PUTS THEM TOGETHER AND PLACES THEM ON A “DELIVERY TRAY” WHICH LEAVES THE KITCHEN AND LANDS IN THE CENTRE OF THE TABLE. THE KITCHEN ALSO FEATURES A TRANSPARENT SURFACE ALLOWING THE TOURIST TO SEE THE VARIOUS FOOD ITEMS KEPT IN THE FRIDGE. IN ADDITION TO A PRACTICAL USE, THIS FEATURE ADDS AESTHETIC APPEAL BECAUSE IT CREATES A MULTICOLOUR TEXTURE.

  • THE “DINING” AREA HAS AN “INTELLIGENT” SURFACE FITTED WITH MICRO-PISTON SENSORS WHICH CAN ADAPT ITS SHAPE TO WHATEVER POSITION THE SPACE TOURIST ADOPTS, FROM RELAXING TO DINING. THE SILICONE SURFACE IS BACK-LIT BY AN RGB LED SYSTEM WHICH ANIMATES THE ENTIRE ROOM WITH DIFFERENT COLOURS AND SEEMINGLY TRANSFORMS THE TOURIST INTO A MARINE CREATURE WITH ITS “TENTACLES” HOLDING THE BODY TO ITS SURFACE.
